From 1962 to 1975, he served as the head coach of the Kauno “Žalgiris” men’s basketball team, which became medalists in the Soviet Union Championships in 1971 and 1973. He developed notable basketball players such as Modestas Paulauskas, Henrikas Giedraitis, and Sergejus Jovaiša. He prepared methodological tools on topics related to physical education and sports theory, methodology, organization, and training issues.
